Enclosed transport
-
Which vehicles need enclosed transport?
Prestige cars, classics, manufacturer prototypes, rally cars, press vehicles under embargo. Any vehicle for which exposure to weather, outside eyes or projections is not an option.
-
How many vehicles does an enclosed truck carry?
From 1 to 5 vehicles depending on the unit. The four enclosed trucks are operated in-house, never subcontracted, driven by drivers dedicated exclusively to enclosed transport.
-
How do you guarantee discretion?
Fully enclosed truck, no visible branding. NDA signed if the mission requires it, non-public GPS tracking, confidential route. The contract binds discretion in writing — the historic JDC promise since 1958.
-
Can you deliver to a specific hotel, circuit or event?
Yes. The client sets the place and date of pickup and delivery — hotels, circuits, events, rallies, private locations. At an event or rally, our truck can stay on site to handle the return run.
-
Is my vehicle insured during enclosed transport?
Yes. CMR insurance + additional cover, included by default. For higher-value vehicles, ad valorem insurance can be taken out per transport and added to the price — provide the estimated value with the quote request.
Open transport
-
When is open transport the right fit?
Dealer fleets, everyday vehicles, manufacturer deliveries, distance purchases between private clients, dealer-to-dealer transfers, leasing returns. Any vehicle for which the open format isn't an issue — the vast majority of transports.
-
How many vehicles per open carrier?
From 1 to 9 vehicles depending on configuration. Missions below three vehicles are usually combined with other routes to optimise cost per vehicle.
-
Which destinations do you cover?
Daily in Belgium and the Netherlands. Fixed weekly rotation to Luxembourg. Weekly connections to France, Germany and Italy. Regular runs to Scandinavia — Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland — and Spain. A few missions per year to Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Outside Europe on a case-by-case basis.
-
Do you subcontract open transport?
Never. Fourteen open carriers operated in-house, driven by JDC drivers. No middleman, no third-party carrier — the same team handles your vehicle from start to finish.
-
Do you transport a single car for a private client?
Yes. A single vehicle is handled with the same care as a convoy of ten. The mission is usually combined with an existing route to stay fair on pricing.
The fleet
-
How many trucks make up the fleet?
Eighteen units in total — four enclosed exclusive trucks (capacity 1 to 5 vehicles) and fourteen open carriers (capacity 1 to 9 vehicles). Full breakdown on the Fleet page.
-
Do you maintain the trucks in-house?
Yes. The entire fleet is serviced in our own workshops in Brussels — immediate availability, full traceability, fast response on in-mission breakdowns. No subcontractors for routine mechanical work.
-
What equipment do the enclosed trucks carry?
Air suspension, hydraulic loading ramps, climate control inside the box. Vehicles are strapped down by drivers dedicated exclusively to enclosed transport — never on the rims.
Events
-
Which kinds of events do you handle?
Motor shows and exhibitions (Brussels Motor Show, Autoworld, Heysel), races and rallies (24 Hours of Le Mans, Spa-Francorchamps, Mille Miglia, 25 Hours of Spa, VW Fun Cup), major international events (Paris 2024 Olympics), film premieres, manufacturer press launches, European historic rallies. Mixed configuration depending on the need.
-
Do you stay on site during the event?
Yes. A dedicated JDC team stays on site throughout the event — entries and exits handled, logistical support, teardown at the end, orderly return run. No hand-off between sales and logistics.
-
How far in advance should we contact you?
Earlier is better for events with tight calendars — motor shows, international rallies, press launches. For last-minute missions we find solutions: the promise of a reply within 24 working hours applies to urgencies too.
-
Do you combine enclosed and open for the same event?
Yes — that's actually the standard. Enclosed trucks for prestige and press vehicles, open carriers for high-volume flows. One point of contact on the client side, from brief to teardown.
-
Have you handled landmark events?
Yes. Paris 2024 Olympics, 24 Hours of Le Mans 2025, Brussels Motor Show, 100 years of Bugatti at Autoworld, Mille Miglia, 25 Hours of Spa, VW Fun Cup, European premiere of « Sex and the City 2 ». The full selection is on the Event logistics page.
Storage
-
What is the storage capacity?
Over 400 vehicles at once, indoors (covered building) or outdoors (fenced site), ten minutes from the Brussels ring road.
-
How long can I store a vehicle?
From a few days to several months. Pricing decreases with duration. No minimum for a short transit; no maximum for dormant stock.
-
How is the depot secured?
Fully fenced site, cameras 24/7 across the entire site, high-tech alarm linked to a security post, controlled access under identification. Recordings are kept on file.
-
What are the depot access hours?
Monday to Friday, by appointment. Drop-offs and releases are coordinated in advance with your planner — a joint condition report is filed on every entry and exit.
-
Which client profiles use your storage sites?
Leasing companies (end-of-contract storage before resale), insurers (vehicles awaiting expertise or resale), dealerships (buffer stock, trade-ins, parking before client delivery) and private clients (prestige vehicles off-season, indoor under surveillance). Details on the Storage page.
Quote & payment
-
How do I get a quote?
Through the form on the Request a quote page, by email or by phone. Reply within 24 working hours from one of our planners — not a switchboard.
-
How much does a transport cost?
Pricing depends on distance, format (open or enclosed), number of vehicles, and pickup window. European transports are quoted bespoke; so are intra-Belgian dealer-to-dealer transports, to stay fair on combined routes.
-
What are the payment terms?
For dealerships and established professionals: invoicing 30 days end-of-month. For new clients or private buyers: deposit on order, balance on delivery or release.
